To Err is Human

Have you ever experienced a “504 Bad Gateway” error on a computer? It’s a Time-Out error because your computer took too long to get the information from the server. Or something like that. They’re annoying because when you want instant gratification by looking at a website, you expect it to be there.
Sometimes I feel like humans have 504 Bad Gateway errors amongst themselves. Communication between a man and a woman gets jumbled up somewhere between what he said and what she heard. I wish our brains would automatically shut down to save us from the ensuing embarrassment. Or argument.
The other frustrating error on a computer is the Error 404 Not Found. This simply means that something that you’re looking for is really non-existent. In this case, you can just make sure you typed the correct information to begin with. Or, if we’re still talking about men and women, make sure the words coming out of your mouth are clear and concise and simple enough for someone to understand. Else, you’ll get an Error 404 and your spouse will look at you like you have turnips coming out of your nose.
Computers, for all their fancy codes and pretty websites, are still, mostly, run by humans. We make errors, we make mistakes. And sometimes we get timeout errors as well.
Peace.
