Don’t blame your inability to keep your zipper closed on your wife’s menopause. Yes, they may get bitchy and want to beat you into a pulp. Yes, they may cry because the dishwater was just a little too watery. And yes, they may turn beet red and sweat all over the couch; and that sucks, but don’t blame the girl.

Trust me, menopausal women deserve a medal just for getting through it. It’s one of the all-time worst things I’ve ever gone through. The mood swings, the hot flashes, the night sweats. I hated myself; I hated my husband, I hated life. Having him blame my menopause for his affairs? Not cool.

Communication is essential at any stage of a relationship, but it is perhaps more crucial at the menopausal time in life than at any other. Maybe some men are just prone to stray regardless of whether their relationships are healthy or not.

But please don’t blame menopause for your affair.
